revolution, you can explore the life of this homegrown hero
- the boy from Little Falls who loved to fly. Visit the
Charles Lindbergh
Historic Site for hours of operation.
Remember
the days of our pioneer settlers at the Historic
Log Village in Crosslake. A turn of the
century schoolhouse, logger's shack and bunkhouse have been
restored to their original condition.
There's
lots to see and do at Mille
Lacs Indian Museum. This Minnesota Historical
Society site features a museum and trading post. Exhibits trace
the history of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, and the Four Seasons
Room contains dioramas of traditional Ojibwe life. Shop for
Indian arts and crafts in the restored 1930's trading post.
While you're exploring our history,
be sure to stop by the Minnesota
Military Museum. This museum strives to enhance
public understanding and appreciation for the significant role
played by the military in our nation's history.
For an even more unique look at
our past, visit the Minnesota
Resort Museum located at the Driftwood Family
Resort. You'll be treated to a glimpse of days gone by, plus
a gift shop and art gallery.
