Area Communities - Pine River
Pine River Minnesota is named rightly. White Pine forests are vast and all will surround you when you visit. The Pine River flows through town, it was used for logging many years ago. The city was founded by George Barclay, a business owner who eventually was shot and killed in the late 1800s. Mr. Barclay started the first trading post on the river. This trading post attracted a village which is now known as Pine River. Pine River, Minnesota has much to offer visitors including fishing, boating, resorts, golf courses, shopping, and so much more!
