Brainerd, MN Snocross snowmobile race action returns to Brainerd International Raceway and the Brainerd Lakes Area for two 2007 - 2008 winter events. The regional event is December 29 - 30, 2007. The BIR's Snocross race track and the high level of spectator attendance are among the reasons that have led the World Power Sports Association to designate the Brainerd Lakes Area BIR as the location for the national snocross event on March 8 - 9, 2008.
The BIR Snocross/Motocross track has nearly tripled in length since 2006. Spectator bleachers are installed at the site. If needed, plastic windbreakers and bleacher heater are available to ensure spectator comfort. Heated refreshment tents and vendor displays are all part of the spectator attractions. To assure that the snow is in top condition for Snocross races, BIR has snow making equipment.
