The 8th Annual Pet Parade held on June 16, 2017 drew a crowd to Front Street in Pequot Lakes, MN. The Parade, which is hosted by Pequot Lakes Community Action, featured a parade and pageant, brats on the grill, pet treats, and prizes for the kids. Trophies for the event were awarded to pets for Best of Show, Most Unusual Pet, Pet & Owner Look-a-Like, Best Costume and Best Trick.

Pets ranged from dogs and cats, to bearded dragons and Shetland ponies. The owners and pets stuck around for lots of attentions, petting, and pictures. Several animals that were not included in the parade were on hand for a petting zoo, and one pony even got to come out and play!

The weather was beautiful and as always, Pequot Lakes is a beautiful place to spend a day. We can’t wait for next years Pet Parade.
