2/2/13 A little dusting of snow last night, maybe 1 inch of new snow.
1/18/13 Not much, but we received about 1 - 2 inches of snow last night making it white and beautiful again. We still have about 6 inches of hard crusty snow under the new snow. It sounds like we are heading for a Cold spell so the ice will be good.

1/11/12 Hardly a dusting of snow so far today, but it is the most snow we have received so in the Crazy Winter of 2012. It is supposed to get cold so that will help the lakes develop ice, which we also need.
12/30/11 A bit of a surprise today with the arrival of 2 - 3 inches of snow before noon. Makes for a White New Year at least. Be careful on the lakes, there have been reports of ATVs going through the ice, and reports of fishermen being stranded on ice flows that have been separated from the shore.
12/29/11 Just a dusting of snow this morning. At least the ground is white now, all that brown was depressing. More SNOW coming!
12/10/11 No Snow, but we are making great ice! I was on Gull Lake today to check out the ice and it is just amazing. The lake is now covered completely and most of it is smooth as glass, with very little snow on it. This will be a great base for the coming(?) snow. The last time I saw the lake freeze like this was about 15 years ago. You can see on this YouTube video that there were a few fishermen out, in the middle of the lake.
