With fall colors in full bloom, the Brainerd Lakes Area experienced the first snowfall of the year. While the Twin Cities and some of our Northern friends saw a heavy pouring of early snow, Brainerd saw about 1 inch in the morning. | 4/16/18 | On Friday, we all hoped that the Southern Minnesota snow event would miss us, but it decided to make a visit to the Brainerd Lakes Area. Flurries and limited visibility started around 8PM Saturday evening with snow falling nonstop for the next 24 hours! We woke up to 8 inches of snow, more in some areas. Monday school and activities carried on as scheduled despite the plows not hitting major areas before 8AM. |
| 3/31/18 | Another 11 inches of snow?! Brainerd declared a snow emergency after all night snowfall left a blanket over the entire Brainerd Lakes Area. More snow and colder temps are forecasted for the upcoming week. |
